Operation Christmas Meal

Pork Loins and Open Car Windows. It's Our Kind of Holiday Tradition.

Every December since 2011, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation has loaded up trucks with five-pound pork loins and driven them out to communities across Iowa. No requirements. No paperwork. Just food for anyone who could use a good holiday meal.

Program Overview

Operation Christmas Meal runs every December across multiple communities simultaneously — hundreds of Iowa Select Farms employees volunteering on their own time, handing pork loins through car windows to anyone who drives through the line.

The spirit of the program runs in both directions. Those who need a meal come for themselves. Those who don’t are invited to take a loin for someone they know — an elderly neighbor, a struggling family down the road, a single parent making it work on a tight budget.
