About the Home for Hope
The Jeff and Deb Hansen Home for Hope is a centrally located resource for families in the Children’s Cancer Connection network — a renovated, continually improving space in Johnston, Iowa, just outside Des Moines. It’s the home base for the Children’s Cancer Connection office and programs, set up for the kinds of gatherings that make a hard season a little more bearable: birthday parties, end-of-treatment celebrations, seasonal get-togethers, and the annual Back to School Bash.
For a family who has spent months in a hospital, having access to a space designed around joy — not medicine — matters more than it might seem.
