Jeff and Deb Hansen Home for Hope
There's Always a Door Open for You Here.
In Johnston, Iowa, there’s a place where children’s cancer families can take a breath. Not a waiting room. Not a treatment space. A home — run by Children’s Cancer Connection, supported by the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.

Program Overview
The Jeff and Deb Hansen Home for Hope is a centrally located resource for families in the Children’s Cancer Connection network — a renovated, continually improving space at 5701 Greendale Road in Johnston, Iowa, just outside Des Moines.
It’s the home base for the Children’s Cancer Connection office and programs, set up for the kinds of gatherings that make a hard season a little more bearable: birthday parties, end-of-treatment celebrations, seasonal get-togethers, and the annual Back to School Bash.
For a family who has spent months in a hospital, having access to a space designed around joy — not medicine — matters more than it might seem.
