Access to Nutrition
One in five Iowans experiences food insecurity. We know what reliable access to nutritional food can do for a family, so we do something about it. Every summer, every holiday, every school year.
We believe food is more than fuel. It’s what drives communities and provides comfort. The impact of a mother being able to put food on the table after a long day, a family gathering to share a homecooked meal alongside stories of their week and memories they’re building now. Every program in this pillar is built to widen access to what we believe is a God-given right.
Four Ways We Fight Hunger in Iowa

Haul Out Hunger
Every summer, our trucks roll out to food pantries across Iowa, loaded with frozen ground pork. Because when school’s out, the meals kids count on disappear.

Power Snack
When the cafeteria closes for a long weekend or a holiday break, food-insecure kids don’t stop being hungry. Power Snack makes sure they have something good to reach for.

Operation Christmas Meal
Every December since 2011, we’ve handed pork loins through car windows to any Iowan who could use a good holiday meal. No paperwork. No requirements. Just food and neighbors.

Ignite the Spirit
FFA chapters, 4-H clubs, and FCCLA chapters across Iowa take on hunger in their own communities each December through Ignite the Spirit. We give them the pork, the funding, and the resources. They bring the community knowledge and the willingness to work.
